Sleeping Beauty Opens!

On Wednesday, December 3, Sleeping Beauty at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati had its official opening!  The cast performed the non-traditional fairytale for an audience of both adults and children, garnering positive comments from Cincinnati reviewers, parents, and little ones alike, including this enthusiastic review from reviewer Tony Dallas's 8-year-old granddaughter!  In addition to the standard performances, ETC has developed the Fairy Godmother Program, which allows children from underprivileged schools to attend the show free of charge during their school hours.  Emily has loved performing such a positive and fun musical for children and talking to them about their reactions afterwards, especially those who have never been to see a theatrical production or may not otherwise have the opportunity!  If you are in the area, come see Emily as Bloom in a unique and upbeat retelling of Sleeping Beauty!  The show runs from December 3 to January 4, and you can find more information or buy tickets on ETC's website!

Additionally, Emily's role in The Blunderer has wrapped!  Emily has a small speaking part as Martha, Walter Stackhouse's secretary, in the film, which stars Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel and is being directed by Andy Goddard.  She had the most amazing time with such an unexpected and huge opportunity, and she can't wait to see the final product!  To keep up on the movie, which is still filming in Cincinnati, please visit the iMDB page!
