After a hectic holiday season, I finally get to sit down and let you know about our amazing run of Rabbit by Nina Raine! Rabbit ran at the beginning of December, and we had the absolute best time! Playing Bella in Rabbit was a dream that I never thought to ask for, because I never expected I'd get the chance to play such a multi-faceted, difficult woman, a true lead role that fully runs the gamut of emotion. I especially didn't think to ask for a role so suited to me specifically, a character whose father is dying (mine died a few years ago), who is both openly feminist and deeply suspicious of her own talent and abilities (guilty), and who can't seem to accept love (I know, I know, but isn't that all of us?).

A relentlessly hilarious play about what it's appear to be a young woman living, working, boozing, loving and having sex in the present century. It's Bella's 29th birthday. Friends and past lovers meet for a drink to party. But as the cocktail flows, the bar soon becomes a combat zone. Nina Raine's Rabbit was initially performed at the Old Red Lion Theatre, London, in 2006. It consequently changed to the Trafalgar Studios in the West End, before coming up at the Brits off Broadway festival in New York in 2007.
