After an extended period of rehearsal (five months, to be precise), Picasso's Women will be opening next week as an independent production at Indiana University! The promotional video above features each member of the cast, an ensemble of dedicated, talented women, discussing what the show means to her. Emily has been so fortunate to get so much time to delve into Jacqueline, and has thoroughly enjoyed working on telling the story of such an incredible woman (she has a rehearsal journal full of chicken scratches and visual aids, a Spotify playlist entitled 'Jacqueline', and two different character collages to prove it)! The rehearsal process has been grueling but rewarding for all involved, and the cast, crew, and creative team are more than ready to have an audience and finally give these women their voices! If you're near Bloomington, Indiana, you can catch Emily playing Jacqueline in Picasso's Women February 12, 13, 14, and 15 at 7:30pm, or February 16 at 1:00pm, at the Studio Theatre in the Lee Norvelle Theatre and Drama Center on the corner of 7th and Jordan Ave. You can check out the Facebook event for more details and information about the show! See you there!
