Outside Mullingar Understudy Performance

Last night after the regularly scheduled production of Outside Mullingar at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, Emily had the opportunity to take the stage in the understudy performance!  For the last couple of weeks, Patrick Phillips (the intern understudying Anthony Reilly) and Emily met with Directing Apprentice Ben Ranaan to work on a 25-minute selection from the last scene of the play.  They had the chance to perform the piece for the cast, family and friends, and audience members who chose to stay after the show and watch the interns work!  Emily was so grateful to have been able to work on a character that embodies so many of her own feelings and beliefs, and she was blessed to look up to Jen Joplin, the incredible and well-loved Cincinnati-based actress who plays Rosemary at ETC every night!  The photo of Emily and Jen to the right was taken just after the understudy performance.  Fortunately for all in the Cincinnati area, Outside Mullingar has been extended to May 30th!  Get your tickets while you still can!
