This week, Emily was cast in a staged reading of Evermore, a new play written by Gary Wright and directed by Cris Cassell, with Ross Valley Players in Ross, California. The play is about the life and work of Edgar Allen Poe, exploring his relationships with his editor, Dr. Rufus Wilmot Griswold, his wife, and his mother-in-law, Mariah Clemm. Emily will portray Poe's wife, Virginia Clemm Poe, who inspired many of the poet's works. Emily is thrilled to be working with Ross Valley Players and for the chance to portray a historical figure who deserves to be celebrated for her kindness and full heart.
If you are in the area, you can catch Emily's Bay Area stage debut at the end of the month! The staged reading will be performed on October 31 and November 1 at 8pm. Talkbacks will be held after both performances. The Barn Theatre, home of Ross Valley Players, is located in the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, California. Visit the Ross Valley Players website for more information about the play and details of attending the reading.
