![]() Fair is foul and foul is fair, since just as the run of Picasso's Women ended, Emily was cast in a production of Macbeth with Ivy Tech college at the John Waldron Arts Center in Bloomington! Emily is incredibly enthused to be playing Macduff, a role she never thought she would have a chance with! To the right you can see an early rehearsal photo of Macbeth and Macduff's final battle. This is the first full production of Shakespeare Emily has ever done, and she is already learning so much from her fellow cast members and director Jeffery Allen. She can't wait to finish out her college career with such a beautiful piece of theatre, opening April 11! In other news, Campus Movie Fest is just around the corner! CMF is a film competition for college students; the challenge is to film, edit, and produce a five-minute short film in just one week. Indiana University's CMF week is at the end of March, and Emily is excited to announce that she will be producing her own film this year! She recently finished the script for the short film, which she will be co-directing and editing, in addition to playing the protagonist. This marks the first time that any of Emily's scripts will be produced, and she is so grateful to have a great group of friends and artists supporting her and helping by signing on as fellow actors and crew. She is looking forward to this opportunity to stretch and expand her abilities, and can't wait to begin the journey of telling her own stories and creating her own art. The film will be posted as soon as possible, so make sure to check back at the beginning of April to see the final product!
