So happy to announce that I've been hard at work on the recently announced Lizzie McGuire reboot! Thought I'd show y'all a sneak peek! :P Okay, in all seriousness - I'm not working on this show, obviously. But in middle school I watched every episode and copied every one of Lizzie's hairstyles, so when the reboot was announced this week, I did find myself wondering what a grown-up Lizzie would be like. This is the very silly, slightly profane result...

I had so many awesome improviser friends in college, and I loved going to their shows, but I distinctly remember watching them, thinking to myself "I could never do that."
Which, honestly, LOL. Because all my life, the second I start thinking that is the second my brain starts going, "You know what?...No. No. Well...HA!" like the woman in that meme when she tries kombucha for the first time. This is all to say, basically, eff all that. Because I'm in improv classes at freakin' UCB now. Yep. That UCB. Which, I know paying to take a 101-level improv class at such an institution is not prestigious or anything, but man. That kinda feels big in itself! And I guess if you're in LA, you can come see me do bad improv in October! But in the meantime, I'm enjoying healing bad patterns and being ridiculous while doing it, which is good enough for me! Y'all, we have some new award nominations! My web series REPRESENT has been nominated for three different awards at the upcoming New Jersey Web Fest, including Best Series Premise! I was nominated in the category of Best Actress in a Comedy, which I am high-key thrilled about. But my favorite nomination is the last one! My co-star Jackie Dallas and I were nominated jointly for Best On-Screen Chemistry in our roles as Ellie and Tess in the series. This one in particular means so much to me, because one of my favorite things about making REPRESENT was having Jackie as my scene partner and developing a real friendship and partnership with her. To be nominated together in this category makes so much sense - because it couldn't have happened without her! If you're in the NY/NJ area, the New Jersey Web Fest is happening September 20-22! If not, trust that I will keep you updated on how it all goes! Thanks, NJ Web Fest!
