Carrier 3, a science fiction short film that Emily starred in, premiered recently with the San Jose International Film Festival's 3-Day Sci-Fi Challenge. The film won the Audience Choice Award in the challenge, and now an extended version of the film will begin making the rounds on the festival circuit.
In Carrier 3, Emily plays Erin, one of the three people in a post-apocalyptic future tasked with going back in time to kill one of the initial carriers of the virus that wiped out most of the world's population. However, each carrier is a close family member of the person who must neutralize them to save humanity.
The film was produced by May Yam Studios and directed by May Yam. Teddy Ted wrote the script and the short co-stars Christina Billisi Ramos, Sunny Moza, Philip Caires, Zach Doyle, Laura Webber, Joanna Cretella, and Josh Schmitt. Emily has been cast in the new webseries, The Adventures of Serena Berg, created and directed by Shawna Khorasani. The series, based on Edmund Rostand's play Cyrano de Bergerac, follows Serena Berg, a transgender girl navigating life and love in college. Emily will play the role of Deena, the creator of the college's LGBTQIA club and supportive friend and mentor to Serena's best friend Roxanne. Emily is incredibly excited to work on her first recurring role in a series and can't wait to get started with the Serena Berg team!
