Award-winner in the house!

 To get to tell my team that people are resonating with what we made is a freakin' dream.I'm an award-winning writer/actor/creator, y'all!

REPRESENT, the comedy web series that I created, wrote, starred in, and produced, has been getting a lot of festival buzz lately - and thankfully it's all good news!

​First of all, after being nominated for several awards at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in April, REPRESENT took home three of them!

We won honorable mentions for Best Web Series/Pilot and Best Actress, which is already crazy to me. But then, I also won the Silver award for Best Writer - TV/Web Series!

I also just learned that the BLASTOFF Film Festival awarded us with Best Web Series! Of the whole entire festival! GUYS!!!

Being recognized in any way is incredible, because every collaborator on REPRESENT worked their tushies off every single day, for the sheer love of the project and belief in its message. To be able to share with my team that people are resonating with what we made - that's the freakin' dream right there.

But on top of that, to be recognized specifically for my own individual contributions is...frankly bananas. To be totally honest with y'all, I spent the whole process of REPRESENT in a constant state of imposter syndrome, convinced that I was the weak link of the production. And while the team made me feel more confident every day, it's still a huge deal to me that anyone appreciates my work  in any way - let alone in an award-giving way! So huge thanks to the folks at Queen Palm and BLASTOFF for seeing our work as we always hope it's seen - with laughter, love, and tons of feminist feels ♥
